Important Dates and Times
Students will receive their dance costumes during class between May and June. Any remaining balance on the costume(s) must be paid before costume(s) are released. Acceptable methods of payments include cash, credit card or debit.
Costumes do not include additional accessories such as nylons. A list of additional items required will be found in your child's costume bag. It is your responsibility to ensure your child is fully prepared for the dress rehearsal and recital performances with these items.
Dress Rehearsal and Photo Day (All Recreational Dancers)
Location: Rose Theatre, Brampton
Participation in the dress rehearsal is mandatory.
The dress rehearsal allows the students to become familiar with the auditorium and feel comfortable with their performance, costume(s) and being on stage, especially for the younger performers. We run an organized and timely dress rehearsal. We ask that families arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled dress rehearsal time and proceed to the Rehearsal Hall. During the dress rehearsal students will take their group photo and become familiar with performing on stage within an auditorium. The dress rehearsal will last approximately 30 minutes for each group.
Group photos will be taken during the dress rehearsal.
A sitting fee of $5.00 must be paid to the photographer for those wishing individual pictures to be taken. Please remit the $5.00 to the front desk prior to the recital photo day.

The use of flash photography and video cameras is prohibited during the performance for the safety of the dancers and the comfort of those around them.
Please turn off all cell phones and other electronic devices.
The Rose Theatre is run by community volunteers. Please treat the staff with respect at all times.
As a courtesy to all the performers and the other audience members, please do not enter and exit the theatre during the performances, this included in between dance routines.
Refrain from talking during the performances as this is distracting to the performers. Also, please refrain from cheering students names before or during a routine as it disrupts the dancers.
Dancer Check In and Out Procedures
If your child is dancing in more than one routine, please make sure they arrive in their first performance costume and have all the necessary costumes and shoes, clearly labelled along with them.
When you arrive at the Rose Theatre on rehearsal day, please report to the check in counter and sign your dancer(s) in. Parents/guardians are NOT able to watch the rehearsal. When your child is finished rehearsing all of their routines and they have had their group picture(s) taken, they may leave the theatre.
On the actual recital performance days, parents are asked to bring their dancer(s) to the theatre one hour before their specific showtime. Dancers should arrive in their first costume, with hair and make-up already done. Proceed to the check-in counter and sign your dancer(s) in. Your child will be available for pick-up after they have performed their last routine or you may choose to leave them until the end of the show. Supervision will be provided in the holding room by parent volunteers, as well as other staff.
No child will be allowed to roam the facility without supervision.
During the recital, children requiring help with costume changes will be helped by adult staff or volunteers. Parents wishing to help their own child may do so by meeting them in their assigned dressing room.
Parents, please note, in the interest of safety, the person picking up your child(ren) may be asked to provide identification. No child will be allowed to leave the holding room without a parent/guardian signing them out. This procedure has been put in place to ensure your child(ren)'s safety. It may get hectic when all parents are trying to sign in and sign out their children in all at once, but with a little patience from everyone, we will be able to ensure that all children are accounted for.
If you have purchased a ticket for your dancer, please go the holding room after your child's last number, sign them out and then they may watch the rest of the performances with you. A television screen/monitor will be set up for those dancers remaining in the holding room so they can watch the other performances while waiting to be picked up.
A professional DVD of the Rugcutterz Danz Artz Recital will be available for purchase during all performances.
Flowers, Gifts, Refreshments and Food will be sold at the Rose Theatre on each recital date.
